About The Lecturer
Hans
Bacher has been working in the animation film business for the last 30
years. First in Germany in his own studio, later on major disney movies
like who framed roger rabbit, beauty and the beast, lion king, aladdin,
hercules, fantasia 2000 and mulan, as well as spielberg's balto. He has
won several awards for his design work, amongst them the annie-award
for
mulan. Born in Germany he spent many years in London, Paris,
Duesseldorf and Los Angeles. Now he lives in Manila and enjoys the
islands and traveling through the far east. He was teaching animation
in Germany for 15 years, during the last years he is giving lectures
and workshops about film-design in major studios and universities in
Japan, Taiwan, China, Singapore and the Philippines. So far he has
published 2 books - 'brush-design for photoshop' and 'DREAM WORLDS,
production design in animation'.
